Jen's Christmas Lesson

Here is another video. Now that we know how to post videos we will be showing a lot more of them!

This is Jen's Christmas lesson that we showed in an earlier post. The class is split up into three teams and one kid from each team is up at the board and has to draw whatever Jen yells out. They are very excited and there is lots of screaming and yelling. So much fun!

Christmas Party Video

Here is a short video from our Christmas party.

Merry Christmas everyone!!

Christmas Party

Josh and I also teach on Saturdays to kids who want extra lessons. My class is a combined class of grade 1 to grade 4. Josh teaches grade 5 and grade 6. Today was December 23 and we gave our Saturday classes a Christmas party. Josh brought his students into my classroom and we gave them juice, chocolate and candy (a very healthy celebration for 10:00 in the morning). We also played Christmas music for them.

Jen Teaching

You have seen some pictures of me in class, and now here is Jen. You can see it is much colder now, and the classrooms are not heated. These pictures were taken in class on December 22nd and this is Jen's Christmas lesson for her grade 3's.

This girl is the cutest! She is always jumping around with excitement. She is always smiling and giving us hugs.

Playing a little Christmas game where Jen is calling out Christmas vocab and the students have to draw on the blackboard whatever she calls out. They get so excited playing games like this, it is so fun to be around.

Students in our Apartment

We often have students visit us in our apartment. Here are three of Jen's grade 5's playing the guitar Jen got me for my birthday. I taught them how to play and sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.

Our Kitten Now

Hello,

These are more recent pictures of Xiao Mao. Her blue eyes are gone and have changed to this nice honey brown colour (so she is still really cute).

This is her favourite box to play in.

Look how big she is now. She has grown a lot from being a palm sized cat!

Our Kitten

Hey everyone,

Well some of you may already know about the cutest cat in the world, who we named Xiao Mao (which means kitten in Chinese)! We found her on the side of the road and couldn't resist taking her in after she started following us down the road. She was indeed abandoned so we are not kitty nappers :D. I am not a cat person and I am actually allergic to cats, but who would not want this kitten. She actually fit in the palm of Josh's hand. These pictures are during the first few weeks with her back in October.

This was when we were trying to litter train her but she thought it was a play area instead. One amazing thing about Xiao was that she was litter trained in the first night, so no mishaps.

She is just so cute!!!
